As many as 90 percent surveyed individuals say they want to use the Internet or their mobile device for health resources and related information.

According to the 2012’s Accenture Connected Health Pulse Survey, the nation is ready and willing to embrace eHealth and everything that goes along with it. The term, used to describe all things health and fitness-related available online and through phone applications, encompasses everything from pharmaceutical printouts to scheduling doctor appointments online.

“Most patients choose the web for online self-service, but they are also taking advantage of other channels, such as email and mobile devices,” read Accenture’s report.
